TENTH AND BLAKE - BYOB APP

When Tenth and Blake Brewing Company was established, they wanted to separate themselves from the MillerCoors mothership and burnish their craft beer credentials.

Using a "Beer First, Brand Second" strategy we created an app to engage and educate employees, distributors, retailers, and our increasingly beer-savvy customers. And if they were going to truly connect with beer lovers and provide context, they needed to start talking about more than just their own products.

The app allowed users to virtually brew beer. While, "You poisoned a village!" was thankfully not a possible outcome, they could brew and learn about 16 styles and 37 brands of beer. In addition to process and ingredients, the app told users the stories behind the styles, taught how to best evaluate beers, and recommended food pairings.

The BYOB app was central to a multidimensional education program featuring dedicated manpower, sensory and tactile experiences, social media badges earned through participation, and easy reference printed and digital guides.
